Rosie walked into our lives as a 7 week pup and took
over our lives! Her outstanding show career included top gundog puppy
in the Vetzyme pick of litter competition, 5 BPIP at champ shows, 6 CC,
3 with BOB, a res. CC at Crufts at only 14 months, and too many BOB and
group places at open shows to mention. Worked on our local shoot all her
life, we took her trialling at the late age of 6. She achieved her SWGC
(with guns award) in November 2003, and followed that 2 weeks later with
a 4th in the WCGB novice trial. Despite being out of action most of the
2004 season due to a bloat operation, she managed a com first time out
once recovered.
Placed consistently in working tests she has won novice
and is placed near the top most times in open. She has progeny winning
at championship show level and also doing well at tests. Now 10 years old and slightly greying, Rosie has retired from the show-ring and only goes out for the occasional half day's picking up, she still rules the roost however!
Vinnie was returned to us at 8 months due to his owner's
change in circumstance, and it must have been fate as he is a joy to live
and work with. He has had a succesful show career to date although only
shown lightly, he has numerous championship show places including first
in Post Grad and a reserve CC, he has excelled at working tests nearly always being placed. Vinnie is now being trialled and we will report on his progress after the season has finished. He is regularly picking up on two shoots. He is available
at stud to approved and hip scored bitches and is siring quality pups.
Several from his first litters are already doing well in the showring
and showing promise in the field. This season Vinnie won 5 field trial awards and swept the board with the Hungarian Vizsla trophies, achieving four 2nds in Novice and a Certificate of Merit.
Our new baby.. what can we say? We waited a long time for her and we couldn’t
be happier with the result. Qualified for Crufts at her first champ show
(although she’d really prefer to be running around than standing
still long enough for a judge to look at her!!) Her training is coming
along very well and like her mum she lives for retrieving. She is happy
carrying fur and feather and we have high hopes for her future.
At 12mths old Millie was growing up fast. She had only been lightly shown
but had qualified for Crufts at all her champ shows. She worked well
and displayed great potential, having achieved a 2nd at a working test in puppy and
began to go dogging in.
Millie's first season picking up proved to be steady,
and she was clever at picking pricked birds. We entered a couple of trials toward
the end of that season but were unlucky not to get a draw.
Now in her second season picking up, Millie grows more confident each time. She is picking up on two shoots and has run in her first trial.

Meet the newest addition pictured here at 9 months. Vinnies daughter,
granddaughter of Rosie. A real sweetie and quite a looker too. Watch this
space!
Indie has had a succesful start
to her show career so far and is coming along very well in her working training. She
runs out well and has a very keen nose, and loves retrieving, In all she had a superb first year showing, winning a CC at 12 months and 2 reserves by 15 months. Her training is going well and she has been on a couple of days picking up and gained some valuable experience. She retrieved her first pricked bird and brought it back “head up and still lively!. We hope to do some spring pointing with her this year.
