German Shorthaired Pointers

Garvey “Fielgar Gallyon from Wyecaple. Clink link for pedigree.

Garvey had a successful show career as a puppy, including a RBIS and numerous PBIB. He qualified for Crufts and took many BOB and group places at open level, however he really did not enjoy showing, so although he has the odd outing now and again he much prefers working. He has gone beating and picking up all his life and has won a novice working test and been placed in graduate. Although we have not trialled him because of working other dogs, he has the ability and has progeny that have won and been placed consistently in novice and all aged trials. Above all else his temperament is superb and he is the most gentle of dogs.

He is available at stud to a limited number of suitable bitches.

Heather… Dallandor Jacinth. Click link for pedigree

Heather has done well at shows including first in post-graduate at championship level, Crufts qualified and numerous open show wins including BOB and group placings. She is a superb hunter, and would surely have had a good working career if foot and mouth hadn't caused a 12 month lapse at a crucial stage of her training. Her temperament is outstanding and she has passed this on to her pups.

Jazz…It’s Jazz Time for Dallandor.

Jazz is pure working breeding, and boy do we know it! She should be called Exocet! A mix of 100 mile an hour desire to find birds and a very sensitive nature, enough to trouble the most experienced of handlers. However, not wanting to admit defeat we continued to “train” her with much advice from others and an awful lot of patience.

Unfortunately Jazz’s training didn’t go to plan, and she remained too unsteady on birds. She now lives the life of Riley with a good friend on her smallholding with lots of other dogs and livestock. She had a lovely litter by Garvey last year, let's hope they have inherited Garvey's calmer outlook on life!
